Hi all, what are other Minnesota players thoughts on Treasure Island Casino? It seems to me that they have been making drastic changes to the slot floor the past few months. For starters, they have removed several popular games such as Willy Wonka, Tarzan, Monopoly, etc. . They removed all the must hit by minor and major progressives on the WMS games. They also reconfigured most of their WMS games that had the progressives from 40-50 lines down to 20 and 30 lines with a max bet up of 5 coins. They haven't been updating the slot floor to include many of the newer WMS Blade games. The new games they have added are several banks of the newer Aristocrat games that dont pay much when you land full screens like the IGT Golden Goddess and its clones. In other words its dang near impossible to land a handpay. Table games have also taken a severe hit as they have worsened the odds on their blackjack games by using continuous shufflers, not allowing resplits of Aces and so on. Lastly, I was there last week and noticed they had all the floorboards lifted in the section where the main cashier is located and were installing network cables underneath and configuring the machines with IP addresses as I saw the work order sheets on the machines. Its possible a new server based gaming integration, or simply to connect the players card system as they seem to have upgraded half their floor now to a new system. Perhaps the long-term it will serve both purposes. The changes have been fast and drastic and not sure where they are going with it all. I've talked to a few players/staff at Mystic that also play at Treasure and they have also complained on the recent changes. I wrote to the casino months ago when I first started noticing unpleasant changes going on but received no reply. I've been a regular there for many years and always felt they gave decent comps and offered an enjoyable gaming experience with a wide selection of good slots. The only solution to me is to stop going there and take an extra trip or two to Vegas now, or only go to Mystic Lake where they got a good thing going. They rotate new games in on a regular basis and keep the slot floor pretty balanced with a wide selection of old and new games. Any one have any opinions on the new direction TI is taking?
